I know some of us might have put our New Year’s resolutions on hold, but with spring here, I’m feeling the urge to treat myself to some self-care. As we go about our daily life, we need to also take time to nourish ourselves, and it’s totally okay to prioritise our well-being so we can be fully present for our loved ones.

Spring is a time of renewal, and we can take a cue from nature and start shaking off the winter blues. Instead of rushing into intense workouts, let’s take things slow and enjoy the gentle movements. If you’re training for a marathon or Ironman, that’s great, but remember to listen to your body and move at a pace that feels comfortable. Don’t forget to cover up if you start sweating, as the spring wind can turn into a cold really quick.

Eating simple, fresh meals is also a great way to welcome the new season. Fresh greens are a must-have, and they’ll add a pop of colour to your plate.

Spring brings a sense of new beginnings, but the weather can be unpredictable, which can also affect our mood and mind. So, it’s important to be kind to ourselves and embrace the changes. It might be tough to welcome change but resisting it will only make it harder to get through.
